Motivation Follows Action, Not the Other Way Around

Waiting to feel ready is the most common way good work never starts. Feelings are passengers, not engines.

The myth says motivation arrives first and action follows. Nearly everyone who makes things for a living will tell you the order is reversed: you begin, badly and without appetite, and somewhere in the first twenty minutes the appetite shows up.

This matters because the myth quietly sets the bar at the wrong place. If you need to feel ready, every hard morning becomes evidence that something is wrong with you. If you only need to start, a hard morning is just a hard morning.
